Your Laundry and Austin’s:
Austin’s Ammonia can be added with your favorite laundry detergent for extra cleaning power. Where the use of bleach can be harsh on some clothing. Austin’s Ammonia will allow clothes to last longer and will brighten their colors.Â
Austin’s is great for blankets and woolens where musty odors are eliminated.
Soaking diapers, nylons, hosiery and lingerie in ammonia for few minutes, gently removes soils and odors. Simply add 1/4 cup to a quart of warm water and add your clothes. Then wash as usual.
All-Purpose Surface Cleaning:
Austin’s Ammonia is excellent and economical for all your surface cleaning needs. Try it for a variety of tasks.
For windows, mirrors, painted walls, wood work, kitchen countertops, sinks and bathrooms-add 1/2 cup of ammonia to 1 gallon of warm water. Wipe with sponge or cloth.
For linoleum and ceramic tile floors add 1 cup of ammonia to 1 gallon of water. Mop and let dry.
For pots, pans and dishes-add 1/2 cup of ammonia to the dish water and let stand for a few minutes. Food and grease will easily wash away.
For difficult jobs such as cleaning trash cans, garbage disposals, cement floors and removal of build up wax, use ammonia full strength. Let stand a few minutes then rinse with clear water.Â
For oven and broilers- leave a small dish of ammonia in the oven overnight. Crust and deposits wipe off easily in the morning.
To remove odors, place a little ammonia in a saucer and leave overnight.Â

WARNINGS:
Contains ammonia. Do no mix with chlorine type bleaches or other chlorinated chemicals, such as drain or toilet bowl cleaners. Combining these products will produce a poisonous gas that can be fatal. Avoid contact with eyes or prolonged contact with skin. Do no swallow. Avoid constant inhalation of vapors. Use in well-ventilated area. Do not use on aluminum. Keep out of reach of children.
First Aid:
External: For skin, flood with water, and then wash with vinegar if available. For eyes, flush with water and get medical attention.
Internal: Give one or two glasses of water. Follow with citrus juice, if available. Call physician or poison control center immediately.
